I love my dehydrator. I am looking forward to making a larger, solar dehydrator soon. My absolute favorite food to dehydrate is bananas. I find that the thinner I slice them, the crunchier they are. I can literally eat them daily.
I would love to hear from any of you who dehydrate bananas or anything else. Tell us your tips and tricks!!
I am trying to find out if anyone has tried to dehydrate banana peppers. Do you have any tips?
ReplyDeleteI have tried dehydrating banana peppers and bell peppers. they dry out just fine and keep for a long time if kept in an air tight container. I suggest chopping them in 1/2 inch pieces and dehydrating for 36-48 hours depending on your dehydrator. I use them in soups, salads (such as tuna salad and chicken salad) they are wonderful and very flavorfull!
